Psycho and Bernard Herrmann

One thing to know about this week’s film, Psycho (1960), is that it was so popular that it overcame mixed reviews to garner Academy Award nominations and it later spawned numerous sequels.

The composer for this film, Bernard Herrmann, also composed the score for Citizen Kane (1941) as well as other Hitchcock films.

As I announced during today’s screening, the article for this week by Ross J. Fenimore is fairly different from what we have encountered so far. I am expecting all of you to read it carefully.
